The Bath Spa Christmas Express on the way to Bath, on a Day excursion.

This is LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 Number 60019 Bittern, as 4492 Dominion of New Zealand.

At New Milton Station which is between Bournemouth and Southampton, on the Main line in the New Forest, 7th December 2011.



LNER Peppercorn A1 Class loco no 60163 "Tornado" pulls The Cathedrals Express steam excursion from Chertsey to Ely on 12th December 2011.

The train was a charter for passengers to attend the Christmas carol service in Ely Cathedral.

"Tornado" is a new-build steam locomotive, completed in 2009 after a 20 year project to recreate the Peppercorn A1 Class, all of which had been scrapped in the 1960's.
